OUR STORY

A legacy continued.

Von Zo Haus grew from a love of German Shepherds that began with one generation and is being carried into the next.

WHY VON ZO HAUS EXISTS

The dogs came first.

Von Zo Haus is more than a kennel name. It is the continuation of a family story that began decades ago.

My father bred German Shepherds through the 1970s, 1980s and into the early 1990s. Growing up around the breed shaped the way I see the German Shepherd today: not simply as a beautiful dog, but as a loyal family companion, a capable working breed and a dog whose character should be respected as much as its appearance.

Continuing in his footsteps is deeply personal. My hope is to preserve that connection and, in time, pass the same love and respect for the German Shepherd on to my son.

At Von Zo Haus, our dogs are family first. Our breeding program is deliberately selective, with every planned pairing considered through the lens of pedigree, temperament, structure, health information and the long-term qualities we want to preserve in the breed. We are not interested in producing puppies simply for the sake of producing them. We want each litter to have a purpose and each placement to be thoughtful.

Our goal is to raise German Shepherds that can stand proudly behind the Von Zo Haus name — dogs with presence, sound character and pedigrees connected to respected bloodlines beyond the Caribbean. That is the meaning behind our philosophy: Caribbean Bred, Global Pedigree.

WHAT WE WANT TO PASS ON

A respect for the breed.

Von Zo Haus is ultimately about stewardship. The German Shepherd has a long history as an intelligent, versatile working dog. Our responsibility is to make choices that respect that history while producing dogs capable of thriving in modern homes.

That same responsibility extends to our son and the next generation: to teach that breeding is not simply about producing puppies, but about understanding dogs, honoring lineage and accepting responsibility for what we create.
